Ten in one day!

Email from Clive Knight (Sat 01/07/2023 20:16) I walked round the reserve this afternoon. The weather was a mixture of overcast cloud and bright sun with a strong breeze. Getting off the circular path, I walked along the hedge rows and where it is sheltered from the wind the hedges are are a haven for butterflies. Just take your time, walk slowly and look; this has got to be one of the best years on the reserve for a long time for insects and butterflies. I saw Large Whites, Meadow Browns, Ringlets, Marbled Whites, Large and Small Skippers, Commas, Gatekeepers, Tortoiseshells, and a Red Admiral. Ten in one day!
