There are always European hornets working somewhere in the reserve and we know of at least one nest high in a tree. Here is an astonishing video of hornets at an invertebrate water hole.

Southwick Country Park Nature Reserve 
I recently saw a medium sized bee/wasp that I couldn’t identify, on a geranium Rosanne flower. A prominent broad strip of shiny bright yellow skin stretched from it’s face to the top of it’s shoulders! I have a number of wildlife books but couldn’t see anything similar? Any suggestions?
