A message of thanks from Sarah and Alan, our litter pickers, pictured here at work in yesterday’s unremitting rain.
Hi,
We would like to say a big thank you to all the visitors who take their litter home with them and also use all the bins within the reserve. We have all noticed how little litter there is to pick up these days and we only do a pick once every two or three weeks now. Ian and Pat have stopped their regular Sunday morning litter picks too, partly because Pat (now 93 years old) has more trouble getting around but mostly because it is not really necessary any more. Throughout the summer’s school holidays there has been very little rubbish left in the reserve and the three bins in the main car park are always full after weekends. It has become obvious that the message is getting through and we can’t thank you enough for helping us look after the reserve and its wildlife.
Sarah and Alan

Many thanks Sarah and Alan for all the time you have spent in keeping the Reserve so litter free and for all the funds you have raised and hard work in planting daffs in the orchard and primroses in the bottom copse of Village Green.
