Three cheers for Pat, FoSCP’s litter-picking gold medallist, now 89 years old, pictured here with her dog Zack. At least once a week, Pat quarters the park with a litter picker and a bin bag; you have probably seen her.
She climbs through the bushes and into the trees to pick up the stuff other park users can’t be bothered to carry as far as a bin or take home with them: cans, bottles, food wrappers, dirty nappies, dog poop in bags thrown into the undergrowth, disposable barbecues disposed of in the Lambrok and any other kind of detritus you can think of.
The park would be a much, much less pleasant place to walk without Pat.
Well done Pat!
If people would clean up after themselves, Pat could put her feet up for a well earned rest.
