What sort of grass do they prefer, we have plenty of long grass at the bottom of our garden! Grasshoppers eat lots of things as well as grass, including small insects and spiders if they can catch them. The females like undisturbed ground to lay their eggs in. If you add wildflowers and a wide range of grasses to the bottom of your garden, the grasshoppers will arrive. I’ll try that. Iv’e just bought a variety of periclymenum Honeysuckle as you suggested recently. Well done! So many of our garden flowers are non-native and our native nectar-feeders don’t always find them easy to access. Comments are closed.
