Sorry, I thought I had told you but obviously I didn’t and the pictures you used for yesterday’s post were from last winter. In October, WRC Ecology & Arboriculture, the tree surgery people used by the council, tidied up the area around the Oak, created a barrier to protect it and haloed the hedgerow between it and Oak 5524, the old pollarded oak by the footbridge into Sleepers Field.
