Forty six days! I wouldn’t have guessed even half that.
Wow.. that was just beautiful. Bluetits has got to be one of my favourite birds (along with robin, jackdaw, wagtail, white stork, to name a few). Very hardworking!
It’s so heartwarming to see eggs in the nest! We have been watching a white stork nest on a live cam feed. From what I’ve observed, they come around the spring equinox (or thereabouts, this is the 3rd year I’ve observed it), lay the first egg around the first week of April, and around this time the first cute little wobbly-head (that’s what I call the should hatch. Can’t wait!
White storks are just beginning a comeback in the UK, a real rarity, so I assume you are resident somewhere on mainland Europe.
I’m in the UK. I’m watching them online ☺️
I enjoyed watching the blue tit video and was also surprised at how long it took.
Perhaps the white storks mentioned were little egrets?
Hello Barbara, even though hardytardy lives somewhere in the UK, they are watching a white stork nest cam, broadcasting from somewhere in mainland Europe. Like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAW3cujaJas
