Each year, the first day of February is Time to Talk Day, the nations biggest mental health conversation.
People who regularly walk in nature suffer fewer mental health problems; we all know this from personal experience. Our overburdened NHS knows this too, and is beginning to recommend what it calls green social prescriptions for both the treatment of mental ills and to counter the growing epidemic of loneliness and its associated maladies. Green social prescriptions take you out into your community to enjoy physical activity in green spaces with monitored like-minded groups. Conversation, talk, the sharing of our experiences are key elements to this welcome approach to mental wellbeing.

Come with a friend and walk in the reserve on this year’s Time to Talk Day. Research has shown that people talk more freely when they are not face to face. What could be better than strolling side by side with your friend through our fields discussing your problems and putting the world to rights?
Stay safe: enjoy.
