Dear Friends of Southwick Country Park,
I was out in the park just recently taking our two dogs for their daily walk, when I was fortunate enough to encounter a group of Friends together with a nice lady from the Wiltshire Council Countryside Team.
My wife and I have always been grateful for the behind the scenes work which you all do to keep the Park as lovely as it is, and so I took the opportunity to stay and chat and thank the small band for their sterling and often ‘taken for granted’ efforts.
However, I realise that there are a lot more people involved in the upkeep of the park than the select few I managed to see on my walk, and so we would like to express our sincere thanks to ALL the Friends and the rest of the Countryside Team for their outstanding efforts throughout the year, and reassure you all that those efforts and your hard work certainly does not go unnoticed.
Now that we have found your website and subscribed to your news letters, we will certainly keep an eye out on your meeting days and take the opportunity to stop and thank some more individuals when the opportunity allows.
Once again, our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for keeping such a special place so lovely. Our two dogs, Frankie and Tizzy, also pass on their thanks!
Warmest regards to all,
Simes and Sarah Handley
Whiterow Park, Trowbridge.
