Work party with DKG

A few photos from Tuesday’s work in the park and a few on my usual  prior walkabout. Autumn is now truly upon us with these lovely foggy mornings. The bird I will not try to identify as I’m bound to be wrong.

Today’s task involved replacing the vandalised seat near the ornamental bridge, hopefully the idiots will leave this one alone. To give the park users a different view of the park we decided to reposition the bench this time as can be seen in the photos. Alison and Ian certainly agree, pointing out birds that would not have be seen otherwise. Not really!

Work continued clearing the brambles from the young trees near the ‘Well Being’ area. Due to replacing the bench this meant three helpers less in this area, which could have been finished if we had all been there.

The bike is a strange one. This has been in the park for a few days, it is now locked to the tree near puddle corner by the footpath which crosses the field to Wingfield.
