The Friends met up one Saturday morning in March to join in the annual Great British Spring Clean. This is the third year we have done a thorough litter pick whilst the vegetation is at its lowest, and we can get into areas not accessible in the summer months.
The good news is that over the past three years the litter has been decreasing so this year we collect five bags as opposed to eigtheen bags in the first year. We can assume from this that visitors are taking their rubbish home or using the litter bins. We also rely on our faithful litter picker, Pat, doing her weekly rounds and the Park is looking good.
We do however have some issues with dog poo so please bag it and bin it.
