Over the weekend, the grass was cut and baled in all the park’s fields except Village Green. Unfortunately, in Cornfield, the fence around the Lone Oak was damaged by the farm machinery as it turned.
Three regular park-goers have sent us photographs of the damage. Thank you: it is so good to know that the park is looked after and monitored by the people who use it. Here are Julie Newblé’s photographs:
Of course, we were worried that there might have been more vandalism and that the fence had been broken deliberately, as it was in the summer; now we know what happened, we will try to make sure that it is fixed as soon as possible.
