We are half way through National Mammal Week! Who knew?

We have twenty eight mammals on our species lists:

seven rodents;

four mustelids;

two cervids;

two leporids;

a canid, an erinaceidae;

and eleven of Britain’s eighteen species of bats.

    1. It is! The park offers a wide range of habitats, a fair few of which are listed as priorities under the UK BAP. The thing that people don’t seem to realise is that this protected habitat doesn’t end at the Lambrok but runs up the hill toward Church Lane through the fields where they are planning to build houses.
