The Decorated Bridge

The Decorated Bridge is being reinforced.

The Countryside Team and the tenant farmer had worried for some time about the bridge’s capacity to take the weight of heavy machinery at hay-making time – but when an ambulance called to an accident in Village Green could not risk the crossing, the decision was made: a reinforced upgrade that would meet current traffic regulations.

We are told that the work will take two weeks and we will try to keep you up to date.

Go carefully if you’re walking in either Cornfield or Village Green and be particularly vigilant if your dog is off-lead.
